Our new Speech and Language Therapist: Azealia Kadir

We welcome Azealia to our team this month.

Azealia is from United Kingdom, and graduated from City University London. As part of her training, she has worked in a variety of clinical and educational settings, which include; hospitals, community clinics, mainstream primary and secondary schools, and language units in the UK.

Azealia is a bilingual Speech-Language Therapist who has been working in various private practices across Singapore and Dubai since 2014. Her experience includes assessing and providing therapy for children in individual and group settings with a variety of diagnoses and difficulties, including; developmental language disorders (DLD), articulation and phonological difficulties, stuttering/stammering, expressive and receptive language delay, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Down’s Syndrome, social pragmatic difficulties, and repaired cleft lip and palate. She has also conducted training for teachers and care givers to help increase awareness, educate, and provide strategies in how to promote play, language, and communication in children. She can provide therapy in English and Hindi.

Azealia is passionate about working collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure therapy is goal oriented, individualised, and child-centred. This provides a more holistic approach to therapy and enables the child’s needs are supported across all communicative environments.
